Re: Spot light with image as a pattern
I'm not sure if .bmp is a supported format. LuxCore has projection lights (but not spot light with a texture image), I assume BlendLuxCore may switch automatically the light type. Can you post the test scene ?

Re: Gui loop time
To update the topic. Single default light group with path, lag gone, almost perfect 16-17 ms. Single default light group with bidir, 4000 ms, still menus can be opened in LuxCore ui. Path uses a single buffers (i.e. there are only eye paths) so there is nothing additional to do while BiDir uses two...

Re: Show light intensity of laser beams more precisely
So, the colouring works, but the render result (.png) is not so sensitive to give me precise brightness. I think the result would be very precise, when I could work with the basic irradiance. You should work in some HDR format (like .exr) both as input and output but I have no idea if it is support...

I guess I have to write LuxMark v4.0 but it may worth waiting for the dust of the "RTX-thing" to fall down

Re: Show light intensity of laser beams more precisely
Second best would be a visualization of the light intensity by colours. Starting with a white laser the colour could change according to the remaining light intensity. So, for example red for >50%, yellow for >25%, green for >12%, light blue for >6%, blue for >3%, purple for >1% You are somewhat de...

Re: Show light intensity of laser beams more precisely
The color intensity indicates the light intensity of the laser beam but not very exactly. Is it somehow possible to show the light intensity of the laser beam and its resulting parts more precisely, e.g. by annotating automatically or by coloring the beam? Volume scattering will eventually scatter ...

Re: Linux Compile does not works in ubuntu 18.04
It is a strange error because it is in a system header. I will try to compile on a VM with 18.04.
P.S. A somewhat similar problem: https://github.com/openstreetmap/mod_tile/issues/179
