Re: Is there a tip-to-tail tutorial on volumetrics?
Just use same volume material for camera and fog object. And use lower values for scattering (0.005 - 0.1)

Re: LuxCoreRender daily/automatic builds
At v2.5 - if GPU contains RTX - is RTX\Optix automatically enabled in CUDA rendering? Because I can't see any checkbox today. (I read about changes, there is a note about force disabling Optix even if card support it)

Re: Laser and Volume Scatter
1) Why did u use Glass Material? If u are looking for only volume affects laser - just put Null (Transparent) instead of Glass. 2) Homogen absorb colour shouldn't being black(at least completely black) 3) Laser source should be really small - now u have size of 30cm. Put some lower values (0.002 for...

Re: Brushed metal
I’ve seen that, but am looking for something a) easier/simpler, and b)with a stronger contrast between individual lines, so it’s clear that it’s “brushed.” Is there a simple way to “stretch” a supplied texture (like noise, or something else)? Maybe I’ll use an image, but cannot find a good one curr...

Re: Trying to make fog effect
Seems to be, but in truth I still can't properly figure it out. Volume workflow is still cause many questions(ex. What for camera volume is needed? How to work with different smoke volumes in one scene? ).Leandro Oliveira wrote: ↑Tue Jan 26, 2021 1:38 pm So, for atmospheric volumes, I have to use always a volume connected to the camera, right?

Re: Trying to make fog effect
Pay your attention to Camera's volume auto-detect. With premade volumes no need in Fog object. But in example from @kintuX Camera volume autodetects happens from Corridor exterior volume(because it have only inner normals direction).Leandro Oliveira wrote: ↑Tue Jan 26, 2021 12:34 pm Thank you very much, DionXein! I´m studying your file, too.

Is there any way to fix it or help with it?Dade wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 11:49 pm As far as I know, LuxCore can: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2197
There may be something in between to not encode the string in UTF-8.

Re: Path vs PGI
I solved the problem... The cause was russian username on my PC. Unfortunately, LuxCore didn't use Unicode. I don't know why, but maybe devs can explain details of it. Also textures and hdri's can't be loaded if path contains russian symbols. К сожалению LuxCore не использует юникод. Я не знаю поче...
