Re: Light Path Node equivalent for LuxCore?
From Blender manual: The Light Path node is used to find out for which kind of incoming ray the shader is being executed; particularly useful for non-physically-based tricks. More information about the meaning of each type is in the Light Paths documentation. It looks like the kind of stuff that doe...

Re: MaxLuxCore - 3ds Max Integration for LuxCore
Any suggestions here? I have sincerely no idea, the fact that LuxMark doesn't recognize your Nvidia platform is very strange and it is the same, many years old, executable that has been tested on hundred of thousands of OpenCL installations. I would try to remove the Intel OpenCL, than re-install N...

Re: Kitchen + Living_
We were among the firsts, if not the first to support Intel denoiser, you don't need Blender v2.81, you can use our implementation already in v2.80

Re: Colorshift Reflected or Scattered Light?
2. Yes, your first suggestion is a good one for this topic. The method of using a "laser" light source is one that I have, in fact, put to good use in this study - along with that of an area light that has a zero-degree spread angle. In the former case, the aspect ratio of the "laser...

Re: MaxLuxCore - 3ds Max Integration for LuxCore
here is the clinfo you asked for. clinfo.zip It looks ok. Are you using some other "opencl.*" property for LuxCore ? Like the one to explicit select the platform or to use only GPUs or CPUs devices. Can you run LuxMark and LuxCoreUI to check how many devices they see ? In LuxCoreUI there ...

Re: Colorshift Reflected or Scattered Light?
1. In my model case, I have a very irregular mirrored surface to study. The mirror is non-planar in many directions and on many scales. In the real world, it represents a physical surface whose reflection characteristics are important to my work in one branch of physics. You seem to describe a micr...

Re: MaxLuxCore - 3ds Max Integration for LuxCore
Can you post the complete output of clinfo ? It is usually included with OpenCL drivers otherwise it should be available here: https://github.com/Oblomov/clinfo (https://ci.appveyor.com/api/projects/oblomov/clinfo/artifacts/clinfo.exe?job=platform%3a+x64) You could have a second Intel OpenCL platfor...

Re: Spheres scene challenge
It sounds like a wrong world volume setup :?: There is a fog box around the room, the camera and emitters are outside and no world volume defined. When I define one and assign it as exterior to the fog box and the emitters, there is no change in rendering, still no incoming beam and the caustic bea...

Re: Spheres scene challenge
When I switch (in my version of the file 4 posts above) to Hybrid I can reproduce the missing initial beam. And also the caustic beams get way too bright (compared to BiDir) :? No matter if CPU or OCL, with and without rough glass material component. hybridfail.jpg It sounds like a wrong world volu...
