Re: Glass Corridor

Nice image and a good idea!

Do you mind to share infos, like render engine, path depth, samples and render time for resolution x * y?

Lights and Importance

If I underdtand the way importance is working for lights correctly, then it would be great to have a normalization option. Because it looks to me that number of faces of an objet or curve based texts (unknown faces in edit mode) have a big influence on how at least Metropolis renders a scene. To get...

Re: Mr. Lightlove, or how I loved to like the BiDir

Why no shadow catcher? Shadow catcher is offtopic :) I don't use anything but bidir, I don't know shadow catcher neither yet. And as BiDir addict, until a better method arises, maybe a synthesis of CPU smart and GPU brute force shader, which allows similar or even more interesting possibilities of ...

Okay! I was joking though. Of course these are cows :)

If you want, you can have this cows. They are a bit more high poly though and their materials are lame.
Thank you, wasd, for the file. We'll see how they look like on my scenes.

Re: Learning the Fabric shader

Thanks FarbigeWelt for the example Always welcomed. By the way, I used ribbons for my example, what may be wrong in combination with material if it uses volumes, chose solids insteand. Density, length, etc. and color can be set using a texture, see texture tab particles in blender. Root and tip col...

Re: PhotonGI cache

Yes, it is also as DLSC already works and it is what I always do: all the pre-processing is done on the CPU and the result is used both for CPU and GPU rendering. Some stuff (like Metropolis doesn't really work well on GPUs) and it makes the development "cost" reasonable: I have to re-wri...
