So the best thing will be Spectral rendering on demand and accelerated By GPU.Maybe we can open a bounty for that one
Sounds like a good plan.

Re: spectral rendering

I was always intrigued by Spectral renderer but never had tools to check how they achieve such level of treatment. It is something i would like to explore at some point. OLD lux was spectral. Indigo is spectral . Octane is spectral . Maxwell is spectral . Thea render is spectral. In some of the gal...

Re: spectral rendering

Interesting discussion. I'd love to read what David and Simon think of adding spectral to Luxcore. I've read some other discussions over here, but hope they'll reconsider it, as my impression is that LuxcoreRender is not meant to compete with realtime-type renderers that make lots of quality concess...

Re: spectral rendering

Thanks for your reply. From what I've read, spectral rendering would only cause a bit more noise because an extra layer of information needs to be processed, but should not necessarily cost a lot of render efficiency, while the advantages would be an improvement in realistic surface color appearance...

Re: spectral rendering

Is there any news about the spectral implementation in Luxcore? Cycles has a spectral build these days, which will probably be merged with the regular build in the near future:

Re: Happy Halloween!

Yeah, I guess that noise got a bit amplified in the post processing phase, but I like a bit of noise. It avoids an image being too perfect and sterile.
