I'm currently implementing a faster AOV import routine in C++.
Managed to get the import time of the RGB AOV from around 0.7 seconds down to 0.005 seconds :)

Yes, that's possible. It's already there in LuxCore, we just have to use it in the addon.

Thanks to Philstix we now have a node with IOR presets - and you can even search them comfortably.

You have to raise the amount of steps (camera settings, below shutter).
This kind of movement can not be interpolated correctly with only 2 steps.
This is with 20 steps (maybe you need less/more):
