What units should I use to model the scene in order to get the correct lighting? Meters, Millimetres, Blender Units or not care?

Hi, who knows, how to create such mtls?

UPD: My idea - modeling and shrinkwrapping real round, array it, separate and apply anisotropic mtl to each example.
