Epsilon

If you switch from CPU to GPU, then artifacts appear.
I know that such artifacts are corrected with Epsilon values.
But, for some reason, I cannot pick them up this time.

Re: Trying to get rid of fairflies, need advice.

Set the Clamp value to 1 first. Make a test render of a small section of the image. Then set the value to 2-4. Check again. You need such a value when there will be no fireflies, but the scene will not lose in lighting. Most likely, a value in the region of 5-8 will suit you. https://i.imgur.com/9XW...

and no need to wait 55 minutes!
select ctrl + B the most problematic area, small, and do quick renderings only of it. Conveniently, you can switch slots in the view of ready renders

Re: Trying to get rid of fairflies, need advice.

there it is necessary to set the maximum brightness value for any pixel in the image.
try it, put 1, and it will get a little dark, but the fireflies will disappear.
then, gradually increase the value until the fireflies reappear.
well, or give me a scene, I have 15 minutes of time, I'll see.

Re: Trying to get rid of fairflies, need advice.

if anything, coffee can be brewed over a fire. don't worry about them :) when I find problem areas, I draw a frame around them, and try to "squeeze out power" - the noise level. I usually rate 10 or 15 for commercial projects. https://i.imgur.com/BbJozsH.png BCD has such a function, try it. I use it...

Re: Trying to get rid of fairflies, need advice.

It turns out to be an absolutely delightful project! The glass looks so great that you stare into it. At the expense of fireflies - I would advise to render a small area (ctrl + b) to a noise level of 15 (or even 10). And try using a squelch. Both OIDN and BCD know how to remove them. And the BCD ev...

Re: Lux it! RenderFarm (analogue of Sheepit for Luxcore)

Such a render farm existed. And there was a server. And I used it. And there were users (from 5 people always online). I asked the developer how he was doing. And is it possible to revive the project. https://i.imgur.com/JnTfXA0.png I have an i5 laptop, 128 Gb SSD, 16 Gb Ram, 1Tb HHD, Nvidia 1050. I...
