Re: LuxCoreRender v2.2beta4 released

It seems that the last nightly build of 2.81 resolved the issue with adding image map with luxcore.

I've tried in a "one cube scene" and it works.
If anyone else could try, could be good .

Re: LuxCoreRender v2.2beta4 released

2.81 is not supported, cause it's in alpha stage.
For example, this 2.81 build (blender-2.81-4c4a8bf588c5-windows64) is working good...later crashes has you reported.

So, best stay on 2.80

Re: Path Space Regularization (aka the solution to SDS paths)

could I wrote something really wrong? :) Sorry for this... the problem, if I've understood is that when the angle becom too narrow, everything outside that angle become black. So I thought this: subdivide the maximum search angle in N steps, for every steps, take the pixel brightness and divide by t...

The 2 windows inside the single image are raw Vs denoised. You have to compare the first posted image with the second.
Ok. Now it's more clear.

Really not bad.

Re: Path Space Regularization (aka the solution to SDS paths)

#1 you have to trust the algorithm, it is important to start with blurred caustics so Metropolis can find all of them and the algorithm will than sharpen them. Compare the above rendering with the initial blur: psr2.jpg See ? After a while the caustics are a LOT sharper. #2 if you render for "too l...

Re: Laci's wip

have you never tried some fake caustics using texture on an area light? Something like a caustics projector But you also need to make sure they don't appear in shadows from the sun... If you put opacity to 0, your area light is invisibile to the other light source (if I understood what you wrote)

something strange on it OPENCL added a solidify modifier to the first plane of the middle row blender_2019-09-11_10-28-23.png For an unknown reason the 4th plane of the middle row became visibile as well the third one row.
