Re: BlendLuxCore Development

About Alt+D instances, they are not a priority for me right now. It might be possible to accelerate them a bit (at least when no deforming modifiers are used on them), but usually you don't have tens of thousands of them in a scene. The other methods for instancing produce more stuff I think. My da...

Re: Triplanar mapping / stochastic texturing

Understood but it still a big problem...in my opinion. Dade, you say that you need a "space" to reference the axis...but why object space or world space is not suitable? I know that it's not so useful but I've checked the Vray implementation and they have 2 mode: local space or reference node. If yo...

Re: Triplanar mapping / stochastic texturing

ok..but today..is very strange to use just diffuse and not bump...so if you use triplanar mapping for diffuse and not for bump mapping..it's not the best...or am I missing something?

I thought I would do a simple cube projection UV's but that also ruins bump mapping quite a bit.
I was thinking the same... but if it's not solving and it needs a correct Unwrap...well we loose the meaning of triplanar mapping.

Re: Laci's wip

I hope that they'll do soon cause I've a personal project with a lot of particles and it's a PITA everytime I press the render button.

Re: Emission node problems

I can't understand that you wrote "Anyway, you can already scale the output or set the gain to 1/89159.6 to obtain the same result." but, from my tests, is clearly that it's not like this. So, if it should be the same, why the color is different if you use or not the normalize option? And, speaking ...

Re: White balance: how should work in luxcore?

You're right but I'd like to use real light temperature as much as possible and I'd like to have a reliable way to white balance correctly. I really like the opportunity to setup my scene starting from a "as much real values as possible" setup and then make some "unrealistic but a bit artistic" twea...

Re: Emission node problems

Dade, I've tested the Normalize option but there is something I cant' understand. Using daily build. Using an area light with "power" unit mode. https://i.imgur.com/7au9QWc.jpg Added a blackbody node to the light. https://i.imgur.com/noZkvse.jpg Normalize OFF https://i.imgur.com/RrAB1zc.jpg Normaliz...

White balance: how should work in luxcore?

I'm trying the new white balance camera option and I'm quite confused how it works here. Considering a super simple scene. Default Blender scene. A plane, a cube, a camera and an area light. No environment lighting, just one light source (the area one). Plane and cube have a default luxcore material...
