Re: Sketchup2LuxCore
I had a go fixing the old LXS exporter but it really needs re writing totally using the C API Sketchup now offers, there is to may issues with the Ruby version, one being a memory leak which is why I never left a working example. As it stands, the version on github will export but it doesn't play ni...

Re: Ubuntu Budgie
install a VM and try different ones.. I use Lubuntu because my laptop is slow, if I was swapping Windows 10 tomorrow on my pc I'd use Mint.
I fancy trying the Raspberry pi OS or Android OS on my laptop, Raspberry OS worked fine with Virtual Box but 32 bit

Re: How can I use External UI with Luxcore in Blender?
it doesn't matter the cfg file is cross platform, any text editor should be fine
if you've downloaded Standalone release v2.1 there is an application called luxcoreui
I'd test the export from Blender first and see how it works

Re: Ubuntu Budgie
you can install Budgie as an optional desktop and try it, I did it with Lubuntu last night It doesn't seem any better or worse, I prefer it to Unity though everything appears to work fine It looks better on a wide screen TV than the Lubuntu desktop so that's a bonus :) this is what I followed sudo a...

FileSaver
Is it possible to stop the Filesaver giving textures a generic name? My vision was some sort of IDE but 100's of imagemap-0000X.png's seems like over kill, any 4 or 5 textures could be part of a single material, times that by 50+ materials. there is no way of knowing what is a diffuse image or norma...

Re: BlendLuxCore Development
Side by side lxs and cfg render the same so all good, when I did my original test it was a glossy material and the worn wood seemed a lot closer to the darker texture
It still seems odd to me but hey ho on we go lol

Re: BlendLuxCore Development
its seems really strange to deliberately alter the texture and make it 3 times bigger file size

Re: BlendLuxCore Development
Filesaver has no gamma set, tonemapper is gamma 2.2 It seems really odd that those settings aren't exported.. the material looks horrible exported unless I manually change the gamma setting to what it was in Blender I can't show you right now the difference, maybe later today edit: Ok the Filesaver ...
