Re: Atmosphere Simulation

Super interesting work here!

Yes that blue one has real depth, but also the sunrises (sets?) are great too.

Re: spectral rendering

I remember this one, would make a good example scene (maybe with a cloud layer as well).... Great Job! Yes, would be super with a cloud layer, think someone posted something like that on the original thread. The youtube clip is good too, should do high-res maybe on Vimeo. The ability to change all ...

Re: spectral rendering

Here's the raw files for Luxrender...you would need to have Luxrender installed....no big deal. My point here –if you look at the file, you will see what is going on, the genius who has created this, has built a full atmospheric simulation as can be seen by looking at the files...I think, if remembe...

Atmosphere Simulation

Split from https://forums.luxcorerender.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1850&p=20613#p20613 - B.Y.O.B. As an example of what Luxrender could do I post this file that came from some user in Australia...don't have the details as the thread is gone. I believe that this cannot be done on any renderer o...

Re: spectral rendering

Must say that that I am very disappointed at this turn of events....think that Luxrender was an incredible happening, amazing renderer. Really better than both Indigo and Maxwell. I know the code is old and speed is everything nowadays to some...but it just seems most unfortunate that it is not even...

Re: Is LuxCore a Spectral Renderer?

“Physically plausible rendering” That’s a good expression! It matter because of production costs. If a render is slow production costs raises, if you want to render an animation, it’s not the same to render 10 minutes or 60 minutes per frame, just go to any renderfarm and check it... Not talking abo...

Re: Is LuxCore a Spectral Renderer?

I can’t find the word “spectral” or mention of such on the Indigo website, though maybe missed something. Maxwell does mention it. Just think that Luxrender produced a richer and perhaps truer light, was in fact better than Maxwell, certainly more fun without the commercial trappings. I like your pr...

Is LuxCore a Spectral Renderer?

I read the thread further down here...but am still puzzled. Luxrender was spectral, like Maxwell? Luxcore is not, or only partially? There seems to be very little on the web about any of this. It doesn't seem Indigo is spectral anymore? Any ideas? Knowledge in this area? Please!

Re: Can't Get LuxCoreRender to work with Blender MacOSX

I got an answer on the Blender forum....Is Luxcore not a spectral renderer as Luxrender (like Maxwell)?
