Re: Immediate Crash on GPU, on latest build

The scene renders fine on OpenCL CPU device here, so it seems like it's not a bug in LuxCore. Might be a bug in the OpenCL driver. You could try to update your graphics driver. You can circumvent this by starting Blender from cmd.exe. But most of the time the error message is just some generic "EXC...

Immediate Crash on GPU, on latest build

On my machine the scene attached crashes immediatly after hitting F12, without the chance to copy log text from console window. Other scenes run well on the same buld, downloaded and installed today [(1) luxcorerender-latest-win64-opencl, (2) BlendLuxCore-master]. The scene attached runs well on CPU...

Indeed, the MLT and BiDir worked out better for this scene. Still, it needs ton of rendering power to clear up.

Isn‘t it a beauty, is it? I like the picture, its pretty clear and is a real electron nuggler, a ‚cool‘ CPU thriller.

But this is very strange is like saying that the this sequence of a0-aN: have different randomness than this sequence of a0-aN: [/quote] Actually these are two different series of random numbers. Each init leads to slightly different randomness, if statistically evaluated. If the random generator wa...

Re: Matte Translucent Material Node

Matte transluscent is like its sibling glossy transluscent still somerhing miraculous, at list for me. If matte transluscent delivers always diffuse light, reflected or transmitted then if reflection and transmission colors are both 1,1,1 light gets dispersively rayed on both sides of an any thick o...

Re: Matte Translucent Material Node

According to my knowledge diffuse and reflection colors are not the same. Diffuse is for matte objects like paper and reflection for specular objects like glass or mirrors. This might be a bit of question for starting users. But there is actually a big difference if you think about it. Well, the fin...
