Re: Luxcore Vs Octane Preparation test

I wonder how you set ip the light sources in octane. Did you check if the direct lights have the same relations? I mean the relation between out door floor and top lights. It might be that the relations are the same in both renderers. Just check it in a 32bit image. Also for me, the real difference ...

Re: Orange juice tutorial

Very useful tutorial. You made a great job! Most important topic for me is to always check shadow color in future if I am working with glass and/or liquids. I guess The Orange Juice was pretty impossible to get it shiny and colorful in LuxCoreRender without the shadow color feature. (All other param...

Re: Abstract art testing

Looks very interesting. I like abstract renders. This looks kind of visualization of headache at the border to migraine. 😃

Could anyone run a test with the file and tell if the drop-out and/or caustic brightness issue appear on their system?
They do 3x in 50 frames for 2xHD resolution, but not for HD only.

Re: BMW 8 - Caustic + Dispersion experiments

Should I consider other parameter to make a sharper image? This kind of blurriness also happens at close-ups. (Image A) A.jpg Regards, saludos Pablo Hi Pablo Depending on the amount of noise the results of OIDN look blurry or sterile smooth. As already said in this post by someone else, pixel filte...

What about (pre-)compiling in background when using BlendLuxCore?

@Dade, what do you think about (pre-)compiling in background when using BlendLuxCore :?: Background: Because most of the time when I am modeling objects or setting up the scene most CPU's cores are idle. (Pre-)Compiling of scene, objects and openCL kernel could principally be done on 25% of CPU's co...

Re: Who loves Riddles? 1) How looks the scene behind?

Physical based rendering is full of beautiful wonders... The picture below is a real LuxCoreRender result... What do you think how does the scene look behind the picture? A First Hint (, after a posting break of a few weeks.) Look at the picture below. What do you see? Cube of Dispersions 8_first h...

Re: Who loves Riddles? 1) How looks the scene behind?

It reminds me of wall reflections from a stained glass window but I'm pretty sure it is something else, with caustics and maybe some X-trahedron :) Hi epilectrolytics, You guess is porobably quite close. With the hint in the next post, you should be able to refine your guess. Cheers!
