Re: Looking for advice (furniture render)

Thank you so much for all your help. I am having closer renders showing the details of the furniture and the idea is to show it in a context like the one I posted as examples previously. I am thinking if you think those examples are using a sky hdri or something different. I guess what is left now i...

To me they are like hdris through a window.

Look at this source.

https://hdrihaven.com/hdris/

Use one that makes soft shadows.

Regards.
What do you think about this one?

Re: Looking for advice (furniture render)

Thank you so much for your reply. I am trying to achieve somehow a dreamy look. Probably influenced by the trend of people using octane and doing abstract archviz renders. I think you are right, the harsh shadows are not benefiting the product. I do believe the mood I want to go could fit, but I am ...

I would say the same as Dade. Objects with transparent materials, can´t touch other surface, because renderer don´t know what face it should renders.
Thank you. I was doing like in cycles, where they worked. Now I know, after moving a bit the acrylic glass I stop having those black artifacts.

Re: transparent material + wood artifacts

Thank you, can i ask how did you solve this. I checked the link, but I need to render within Blender. Try to delete and rebuild the wrong face hand hope it will not happen elsewhere. It is a bug and Devs will look into it. Thank you ! I I just hope it does not affect my uv maps..It took me a long t...

Looking for advice (furniture render)

Hi this is my first scene with luxcore and I am looking for some advice regarding lighting. I am trying to achieve a render of a table with natural light. So far I am happy with the look of the sun and how interacts with the furniture. Still I feel for some of the shots I am preparing I will need a ...

transparent material + wood artifacts

Hi. I am dealing with a new scene and I am getting some strange artifacts on some of my meshes. I believe it has to do with the intersection between the acrylic glass and the wood. I am not sure if this should be the expected result when this happens. Unfortunately the render looks better when the m...

What Blender version are you using? Custom normals are not yet supported in Blender 2.90.
Do you mean luxcore and blender 2.9 ? Cause I tried and works in cycles.
