Of course Bidir can render SDS paths. It needs some time for it, though. SDS connections are purely random, so their probability is not very high.
Here you can see how bidir does sds. It took a week on Core i5-2400.

With the latest win64 build, Blender 2.82 I get this error when press F12:

In fact I think I'm being very nice here. I'm talking about what in my opinion would benefit luxcore. If I wasn't positive towards luxcore I'd just dropped it.
