Re: Xeon Phi Compatibility?
Its the latter unfortunately. The command line scripts are also throwing the 'cannot execute binary file' error. This is very unfortunate. Ill look into compiling a custom version for myself if I can figure it out.

Re: Xeon Phi Compatibility?
When I run ./luxcoreui I get an error that says: cannot execute binary file. I assume that has something to do with ssh and not having a display. Also, is there a way to get the slave node running on Linux without a gui or python?

Re: Xeon Phi Compatibility?
Alright. Well hopefully by the end of tonight I will be able to test performance on the phi. Will I have to recompile or can I just drop the current Linux build onto it? Thank you for your help with this.

Re: Xeon Phi Compatibility?
I believe some new processors (6000 or 7000 series from intel and higher) support avx512 too. Would support likely ever be added for the vector units in cpus? there was an article that someone had compiled cycles to run on phi cards. http://blender.it4i.cz/research/rendering-on-intel-xeon-phi/ the p...

Xeon Phi Compatibility?
Is the Linux version of LuxCoreRender compatible with the old xeon phi coprocessors? has anyone tested it? also, would it need to be custom compiled to run on one? Thanks.

Re: Constant Bluescreening
So I tried running the Luxmark today like you had suggested before I headed out for work, and it appears to have run from about 7:30 to 3:00 and then it had a Kernel Power issue. That suggests a power problem. Now that I think about it, mining isn't using max power because max power is not efficient...

Re: Constant Bluescreening
The reason I suspect LuxCore is because I mine almost all day on all my cores and all of myGPUs without any crashing(typically 20 hours a day). Prior to using LuxCore I had not experienced such frequent crashing. I experience crashing on GPU rendering OpenCL and on CPU BiDir rendering. CPU crashes s...

Constant Bluescreening
I would have put in a bug report but I'd like to know if anyone else has been dealing with this first. At least six times today my computer has bluescreened with a watchdog violation error while rendering or attempting to render on either CPU or GPU. My system is stable and well cooled. Only luxcore...

Re: Problem with Diamond internal reflections
I tried to remake the scene and got the same results. However, setting the background to Flat Color and at .02 or lower for R, G , and B helped. Also setting the ground material to nearly black (0.001 for R, G, and B) resulted in this: diamond.png Attached is the file I used. I wasnt able to get the...

Re: Biased path, noise etc...
My experience with caustics is to use the BiDir CPU engine. CPU isn't going to be as fast as a good GPU. But with GPU Path Tracing the only option is to brute force through the caustics with Metropolis and a lot of samples with a lot of GPUs. Here is an example scene with just a monkey head: 5 minut...
