Like I said on Youtube: Thank you very much for that tip Sharlybg!

Re: Luxcore 2.1 Benchmark
I wanted to try out rendering an animation with the M1 Max GPU, so I made a fluid simulation and filled the scene with water. Unfortunately a macOS Update broke GPU rendering with LuxCore and I had to use the CPU. The simulation isn't perfect, too. But as it took so long I uploaded the video anyway:...

Re: Luxcore 2.1 Benchmark
My Macbook (16" M1 Max 32 Core GPU) finally arrived… Idle 0% Display Brightness: 6W Idle 100% Display Brightness: 17W I ran all these tests at 100% Display Brightness. I increased the samples from 256 to 2000 because it took a few minutes for the Samples/Sec to ramp up to it’s maximum value. CP...

Re: Luxcore 2.1 Benchmark
I can do some testing with my 16" Macbook Pro (M1 Max 32 Core GPU) once it arrives (probably around end of december).
I'm very curious how Low Power Mode will effect power usage, fan speed an efficiency.

@B.Y.O.B. Thank you! You are right about the camera placement. I thought the same when I watched the finished video :D @Fox: I remember that F1 car render, that is beautiful. It’s still available on Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/24238079 This was one of the videos that made me dream about creating an ani...

Slow Motion Water Splash
This is a project I started in 2012 with Luxrender. I always wanted to create a fluid animation with Luxrender but my 2.26GHz Core2Duo simply wasn't capable enough for such a task. When I discovered LuxCoreRender in 2018 I dug out the old project files and rebaked the simulation. In retrospect I sho...
